If you’re Googling this at 2 a.m. with one hand on your bump and the other in a bag of trail mix—hi friend, you’re not alone.
One of the most common questions I get is: “When’s the best time to schedule maternity photos?”
You want to feel beautiful, show off that growing belly, and still have enough energy to walk, breathe, and, ya know, exist comfortably. (Which is a feat in itself during pregnancy.)
Here’s the sweet spot that works best for most mamas—and why it makes all the difference in your photos.
Between 28 and 34 weeks, your bump is usually front and center—round, defined, and perfect for showing off that baby-on-board glow. By this point, you’re still mobile and feeling (somewhat) energized, but not yet dealing with end-of-pregnancy fatigue or swelling.
It’s that golden window where you feel like you, and baby feels real.
After 35 weeks, many mamas start to feel more physically uncomfortable, and there’s always the chance that baby decides to make an early appearance.

Don’t worry. Every pregnancy is different—and I’ve photographed beautiful bumps outside the typical range. If you’re feeling good at 26 weeks or still up for it at 36, we’ll make it work. My sessions are flexible, baby-friendly, and totally pressure-free.
The most important thing? That you feel good during your session.
The right timing doesn’t just affect how you look—it impacts how you feel. And that comfort shows in every image.
At the 28–34 week mark, you’re more likely to move freely, connect naturally, and enjoy the moment with your partner or family. That ease is what brings out those glowy, heartfelt, real-life images we both love.

Atlanta’s photo season gets busy, especially in spring and fall. Reaching out in your second trimester gives us more wiggle room to pick the perfect location, wardrobe, and golden hour light. (Plus, I’ll share my exclusive style guide when you book—yes, you’re gonna look amazing.)
Your maternity session is a celebration—not just of the baby growing inside you, but of you in this wild, beautiful chapter.
Let’s time it just right so you can feel confident, connected, and totally seen.
